Course Description: Assist individuals in understanding the difference between two types of parenting, "Normal" and "Surrogate" Also included are examples and four specific parenting styles to assist families/caregivers in developing a beneficial style of parenting to reduce negative behaviors in children and improve communication and frequency of positive interactions. Class addresses developmental needs and helps caregivers from residential placements to better understand and work with high risk kids.
