Why McKinley?

We are offering industry-leading child care, behavioral, clinical and management training to the community.  Whether you are a group home provider, a foster parent, a therapist, an administrator, a teacher or a parent you will find many benefits in attending our effective training courses.  McKinley uses a variety of mediums from lectures, role-play exercises and multi-media presentations to help participants develop competency in training areas.  All of our courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced professionals in the field.

This is a cost-effective and convenient way to train yourself and your staff on issues you need to know about!  Group rates and private consultations are available as well.

McKinley is approved by Community Care Licensing and the Board of Behavioral Sciences to offer Continuing Education Units.

TRAINING CENTER POLICY

Payment - payment in full is due prior to the beginning of the class.  McKinley accepts checks and credit card (MasterCard/Visa) payments.

Attendance and Participation - There will be scheduled breaks during each course to allow participants to attend to other matters.  Many of the courses taught will require active participation on the part of the attendees.

Refunds - refunds are allowed if the request is made at least 15 business days prior to the start of the course.  Request made less than 15 days prior to the start of the course, participants may apply course fee to another course schedule within 1 year of the original course.  **Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment (fee is refundable or may be transferred) Individuals enrolled in the 40-Hour Group Home Administration Initial Certification Program who cannot complete the entire course may make-up any portion during the next available course for an administration fee of $15.  Requests for refunds must be done in writing, faxed to (909) 592-3841 or email schulzb@mckinleycc.org.

Use of Training Materials - the training materials used during courses and provided to the participants is considered the proprietary information of McKinley Children's Center and may not be reproduced or presented without the express written consent of the Chief Executive Office or the Chief of Administration of McKinley Children's Center.

Liability - McKinley offers training programs to help professionals to enhance their skills.  McKinley assumes no liability in the application of this training by participants.
