Foster Parents Wanted Foster parents (couples or singles) 21 years of age and up and of all racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds, to provide loving, temporary homes, apartments, condos or mobile homes for troubled children from infancy to 18 years of age until they can safely be returned to their own families or placed in permanent homes.

Who Are We McKinley's Foster Family Agency puts emphasis on the whole family unit, not just the foster child. The agency offers its foster families an extensive array of support resources and services. Key among these is the agency's skilled staff of psychiatric, psychological and social work professionals. Services include 24-hour emergency response, counseling, consultation and on-going training.
Seven Steps to McKinley Foster Parenting
- Contact the Foster Family Agency office at McKinley Children's Center for full details and to arrange attendance at a prospective foster parents' orientation meeting.
- Complete a Foster Families application.
- A fingerprint check is conducted on all Foster Family applicants.
- Complete the Foster Family training course including CPR and first aid certification. (No cost whatsoever) to prospective foster parents.
- When you are fully certified as McKinley Foster Family, the agency staff will match a child or children to your family
- Once a match is made, pre-placement visitations with the child will be arranged.
- When agreed to by you, the child and the McKinley staff, the placement will be made.
